A memory upgrade will breathe new life into your existing machine. It will run faster and you will be able to open more applications at the same time. We recommend an absolute minimum of 512mb when running OS/X however the more you can fit, the better the Mac will run. In OS/X you can find out how much memory is installed in your Mac by going to the Apple menu in the top left hand corner and then selecting "About this Mac". You will then see a window that contains the amount of memory you have currently installed.
