There are those of us who back up our data religiously and those of us who don’t. Unfortunately, If you fit into the second category and your hard disk fails then you only have two choices. The first is to completely set your computer up from scratch all over again. This involves reinstalling all applications, network settings, e-Mail accounts, address books etc. etc.
The second is data recovery. When you store large collections of photographs, music, accounts and important documents, the only real option available to you is data recovery.
We perform data recovery at £100.00* per hour however we operate on a no recovery no fee basis. We also use non destructive methods which means that if we fail to recover anything we can still return your hard disk to you to allow the use of more destructive (and much more expensive) methods should you require. We are normally pretty successful as long as the hard disk is not making bad noises. (The worst being akin to a lathe in a metalwork shop).
